It was a cold icy night in downtown Washington DC. I was dressed really well and so was my boyfriend. I had on red dress and he was wearing red shirt a black suite. We were well dressed for our anniversary, well evening, celebration.
My boyfriend made the reservations for the restaurant where we were going to have dinner. It was a done via the internet, so all we had to do was show up. When we arrived, the valet opened the door to our car to let us out; they took the keys and welcomed us to the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with much enthusiasm from a friendly woman, who showed us to our seats. We sat on the second level of the restaurant, looking down at the other diners. The setting was very romantic, the lights were dimmed, the candles were lit, and soft music from Sade was playing in the background.
My date looked so beautiful! We both glanced over the pricy menu to see what looked delicious. An appetizer was ordered of shrimp with millionaire’s sauce, which was followed by drinks. I ordered a French Martini, and my boyfriend ordered A Vodka Martini.
Finally our main course arrived. We had both ordered the same thing to eat. It was a 5 ounce sirloin with shrimp, and mash potatoes and green beans. The meal was delicious.
There was no more room at the inn, so we did not have any desert.
My boyfriend paid our bill with his credit card because they are accepted (Visa, master cards, American express, Discover, and Diners Club. Finally the valet brought our car that was into the carage and the parking cost us 5 dollars . My boyfriend and I got in drove off; totally satisfied, looking through the rear view window to the fading neon Ruth’s Chris Stake House sign.
